Finance Manager – Permanent – based in Corby, NN17
Job Purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business and play a key role in supporting its continued development. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of key areas of financial planning and control while providing valuable commercial insight to support business growth and profitability.
Joining a small, collaborative finance team, you will have a hands-on role covering cashflow management, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, alongside working closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Stock Management. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who wants to make a genuine impact, improve processes and contribute to wider business decision-making.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage cashflow planning and monitoring across the business.
- Lead and support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning.
- Support the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts.
- Support payroll administration and ensure ongoing HMRC compliance.
- Prepare VAT returns, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
- Produce accurate financial reports, analysis and KPI information for management.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Support strategic business planning and commercial decision-making.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Stock Management to improve stock control and working capital.
- Maintain strong financial controls and processes across the business.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and support external audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and reporting.
- Support, manage and develop the existing finance team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Provide commercial financial insight and challenge where appropriate to help improve business performance.

- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- AAT Level 3 as a minimum or qualified by experience.
- Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA candidates will also be considered.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar finance position.
- Strong understanding of cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning.
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Knowledge of payroll administration, VAT returns and HMRC compliance.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using financial software packages, preferably Xero.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Experience managing or supporting a finance team.
Hours of Work:
- Monday – Friday (8.30am – 4.30pm)
