Description
We are looking for a Squad Lead to lead Agile squad teams of approximately 7–15 team members, while also partnering with third-party delivery teams based on business priorities. Working closely with Product teams, Time Series customers, architects, and engineering teams. The Squad Lead is accountable for the successful delivery of his/her squad initiatives, ensuring business and customer needs are met with high quality and within agreed timelines.
This role combines people leadership, technical leadership, delivery management, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing environment where individuals and teams can thrive and do their best work.
Responsibilities:
The role will partner closely with Product teams, architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand priorities, align delivery plans, and ensure successful execution of multiple concurrent initiatives. The role is accountable for coordinating resources, leading project timelines, adapting to changing business requirements, and delivering solutions that achieve agreed business outcomes within budget and quality expectations.
This position provides leadership across the software development lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of products and technology initiatives while maintaining alignment with current and future architectural goals. The role will collaborate with support, operations, and external partners to resolve technical issues, support service stability, and drive continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and delivery processes.
A key aspect of the role is building and developing high-performing, inclusive teams by encouraging a culture of collaboration, learning, accountability, and innovation. The Squad lead will establish trusted relationships with stakeholders, proactively handle risks and dependencies, and work across functional teams to ensure high-quality outcomes that meet customer and business needs while minimizing operational impact.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams and delivering complex technology initiatives in Agile environments.
- Strong people leadership skills, including mentor, team development, performance management, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
- Experience leading multiple Agile squads, geographically distributed teams, or external delivery partners.
- Experience leading project delivery, resource planning, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Hands-on software development background with the ability to contribute to technical discussions and code reviews.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and familiarity with AI or other emerging technologies.
- Experience attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent while supporting continuous learning and career growth.
- Solid understanding of software engineering practices, system architecture, distributed systems, web technologies, and networking concepts.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions, review solution designs, and guide engineering decisions when required.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
