Overview of Role
An informed and impartial perspective to help our clients reach their goals through the design and execution of strategic M&A and equity and debt financing solutions.
We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized corporations, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, and governments. We design and execute strategic M&A and financing solutions for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges they face.
Our deep understanding of financial markets, the high volume of transactions we advise on, and our unrivalled network of industry and financing specialists in 40 countries, provide clients with a comprehensive perspective to achieve their strategic goals. As the most active M&A and financing adviser in Switzerland with unrivalled deal flow across the full range of transaction sizes, represented with Top 2 league table positions by number of deals since 2023 in Switzerland, we look forward to further expanding our presence and market position in Switzerland and are looking for an Experienced Analyst and Associate to join the Global Advisory Team in Zurich starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Work on multiple transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all critical workstreams and aspects of transactions, ranging from marketing activities for client development and initial opportunity evaluation to transaction execution support across all relevant workstreams
- Lead junior teams and own workstreams in the preparation of corporate finance analyses required for evaluating and completing such transactions, as well as client presentations, information memoranda and offering documents
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree preferred
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Prior experience in investment banking role
- Proven quantitative and analytical skills to develop and own financial models and valuations with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis
- Ability to provide direction and leadership to more junior members of the team in order to build a strong team environment and to build effective relationships between individuals, teams and lines of business, across different geographies
- Ability to build long-term, professional relationships that add value to the client and lead to the expansion of the business
- Ability to simultaneously own workstreams on several projects in an extremely fast paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines
- Experience in presenting client presentations and taking over project management responsibilities over time
- Knowledge of the relevant financial and regulatory environments that surrounds M&A and financing
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and IB-specific tools like FactSet
