Position Overview:

The Single-Family Affordable Lending team is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented individual contributor to support a broad portfolio of affordable lending priorities. The position will collaborate with Affordable Lending team members and cross-functional business partners across Single-Family and Freddie Mac to help advance affordable housing goals, Duty to Serve commitments, industry engagement priorities, analytics, technology enablement and executive-level deliverables.

Single-Family Affordable Lending advances Freddie Mac’s mission by developing, managing and supporting strategies that expand responsible access to affordable homeownership. The team works across affordable housing goals, Duty to Serve markets, Housing Finance Agency engagement, down payment assistance, affordable product offerings, lender and industry engagement. Through collaboration with internal partners, Sellers, HFAs, nonprofit organizations, industry stakeholders and regulators, the team helps identify opportunities, execute initiatives, monitor progress, strengthen relationships and bring practical solutions to underserved borrowers and communities.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will help the Affordable Lending team execute across a diverse body of work that supports affordable homeownership outcomes and Single-Family business priorities. You will contribute to project tracking, executive and regulatory reporting, team operations, stakeholder coordination, meeting preparation, process documentation, data analysis and issue follow-up. You will support workstreams tied to Affordable Housing Goals, Duty to Serve, Housing Finance Agency engagement, down payment assistance, affordable products and tools, industry outreach, lender engagement and technology-enabled solutions. Success will require strong organization, analytical thinking, clear communication, attention to detail and the ability to build productive relationships across teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of Freddie Mac, mortgage industry, affordable lending, housing policy, lender engagement or mission-related program experience; college degree preferred.

  • Experience supporting business leaders and teams through project tracking, milestone management, meeting coordination, action item follow-up and preparation of business updates.

  • Project management, process improvement, governance, risk management or PMP experience a plus, with the ability to work under pressure and ambiguity while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into concise summaries, dashboards, status updates, issue logs or decision-ready materials for leaders, executives and regulators.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; structured, organized, detail oriented and proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook, with SharePoint, Teams or other collaboration tool experience preferred.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $92,000 - $138,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
