Description

This position is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen and snack bar, and for keeping inventory for snack bar goods. Work hours may vary with an average of 25 hours per week and expecting no work hours during the winter months. Work schedule may include weekends, mornings, and long shifts. This position reports to the General Manager.
  • Prepares and cooks foods.
  • Greets customers and ensures that they have a positive experience: keeping them happy.
  • Keeps the snack bar areas clean and above Health Department codes.
  • Plans, prepares, and cooks specials for weekly tournaments and special events.
  • Tracks snack bar inventory and prepares weekly reports and food orders. Eliminates or minimizes food waste.
  • Assists with Pro Shop operations and operates the cash register/POS system during slower periods or when needed.
  • Knowledge of cooking on and cleaning flat grills and deep fryers.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude; ability to make change.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to use tools such as browsers, word processors, and email.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required.
Cash register or point-of-sale (POS) experience required. 
Previous short order cook experience and golf knowledge preferred.
Must be willing and able to complete all necessary training and/or requirements that applies to food handling.

PHYSICIAL DEMANDS:
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
  • Performs light to medium work that involves walking or standing virtually all of the time and also involves exerting between 10 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or considerable skill, adeptness and speed in the use of the fingers, hands or limbs in tasks involving close tolerances or limits of accuracy.
  • Proper training, non-slip footwear, prompt spill cleanup, safe knife practices, heat-resistant gloves where appropriate, correct lifting techniques, good ventilation, safe chemical handling, regular equipment inspection, food-hygiene procedures, and accessible fire extinguishing equipment.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
  • Certified food manger/handler preferred
