Description
Physical Therapist | Acute Care | Jacksonville, FL | Non-Profit Hospital System
About the Role
A not-for-profit hospital system in the Jacksonville area is adding a full-time physical therapist to its acute care team. This is a good landing spot for clinicians who want a wide case mix and colleagues who will actually take the time to teach. New grads and PTs coming from other settings are both welcome, and onboarding is built around your experience rather than a fixed timeline.
What You'd Be Walking Into
- Acute care caseload spanning ICU, neuro, trauma, ortho, post-surgical, and joint replacement
- Around 10 patients a day with treatment times set by what the patient needs
- No productivity pressure; patient-centered care is the stated priority
- Mentorship structured for clinicians new to the setting
- Cross-training across departments, with CEU support and paths into specialty or leadership work
- Optional PRN weekend shifts for anyone wanting additional hours
Compensation & Benefits
- Sign-on bonus
- Student loan repayment assistance
- Relocation support
- PSLF eligible as a non-profit employer
- 20 days PTO
- Flexible scheduling with a light weekend rotation
Qualifications
- Licensed PT in Florida, or license-eligible in the near term
- New graduates and experienced clinicians both encouraged to apply
- Comfortable communicating across an interdisciplinary team
- Committed to evidence-based, compassionate hospital care
