Overview

A lovely family in Menlo Park, CA are seeking a reliable and experienced Nanny / Family Assistant to join their household Monday through Friday as soon as possible. The family has four children, ages 9, 6, 4.5, and 3, and already has an afternoon nanny who has been with the family for a few years and knows their routines well.

 

The role is primarily focused on the busy morning routine, helping get all four children off to school and taking the youngest two to school. Once the morning rush is over, the nanny will shift into household support, including grocery shopping, laundry, tidying, and helping prepare for the children's return home. The nanny will help with afternoon pickups and activities.The family is looking for someone who can work well alongside their existing nanny and become a dependable part of the team.

 

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

7:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Help mother manage the morning routine for four children
• Preparing breakfast and school lunches
• Assisting mother with school drop-offs
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Children's laundry and general household laundry
• Keeping the home tidy and orderly throughout the day
• Picking up the younger children from preschool
• Helping with playdates, homework, and activities once the children are home
• Driving children to extracurricular activities if needed
• Helping keep the afternoon transition running smoothly until the family is ready for dinner

Qualifications

• Someone who enjoys both childcare and household support
• Warm, easygoing, and comfortable working as part of a team

Requirements

• Highly organized and comfortable managing a busy morning routine
• Reliable, proactive, and able to anticipate what needs to be done
• Comfortable taking direction while also working independently
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Comfortable driving children to school and activities

Salary and Benefits

• $40–$45/hour DOE
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 2 weeks paid vacation
• 5 paid sick days
• 10 paid holidays
