Part Time Sales Associate

We are looking for an engaging and sales-driven Part-Time Sales Associate to join our Asheville team. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to connect with customers, a strong interest in furniture and interior design, and the confidence to help customers find pieces that work beautifully within their homes and spaces.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys selling, understands how furniture and décor work together, communicates well, and isn't afraid to take initiative. Experience with social media, photography, styling, or creating content is also a plus.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging experience for every customer
• Build relationships with customers and help identify furniture and décor that fit their needs, style, and space
• Actively drive sales and contribute toward store sales goals
• Develop strong knowledge of Nadeau's furniture, materials, styles, and unique product assortment
• Assist customers with furniture selection, styling ideas, and product questions
• Maintain the appearance of the showroom in accordance with company visual standards
• Assist with merchandising and rearranging furniture throughout the showroom
• Support day-to-day store operations and work collaboratively with the store team
• Help photograph and style merchandise for social media and other store content, as needed
• Assist with creating engaging social media content highlighting products and the Asheville store
• Safely assist with moving and lifting furniture as part of normal store operations

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail, furniture, home décor, interior design, or sales experience preferred
• Strong sales ability with a customer-focused approach
• Knowledge of or genuine interest in furniture, home décor, and interior design
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable engaging customers, asking questions, and recommending products based on their needs
• Professional, dependable, and able to follow direction while also taking initiative
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail environment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Social media/content creation experience is a plus, including styling merchandise, photography, basic photo editing, or creating social content
• Must have reliable transportation
• Weekend availability is required; schedule flexibility is preferred
• Must be willing and able to regularly lift and move furniture weighing 50+ lbs, with assistance when appropriate
