Summary:

About the Role:
At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, every interaction matters. As a Patient Communications Liaison, you will be one of the first people patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers connect with during what can be a very challenging time in their lives.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource, helping patients navigate their care journey, answering questions, connecting them with the right teams, and ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Your ability to listen, problem-solve, and build relationships will have a direct impact on the patient experience and help people access world-class cancer care when they need it most.

The starting annual salary for this position is $62,477 and this can include a full comprehensive cancer center.

What You'll Do:
Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, community members, and healthcare providers through phone, email, chat, web-based platforms, and other communication channels.
Provide accurate information about Roswell Park's cancer care services, supportive programs, clinical trials, and community resources.
Help guide new patients through the referral and intake process, ensuring a smooth transition into care.
Coordinate communication between patients, caregivers, physicians, and clinical support teams.
Respond to patient concerns and questions with empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to resolution.
Follow up on inquiries to ensure issues have been addressed and expectations have been met.
Support referring physicians and healthcare providers by facilitating timely communication with Roswell Park specialists.
Maintain accurate patient information and interaction records within customer relationship management systems and other technology platforms.
Assist patients with portal access, technology-related questions, and digital tools that support their care experience.
Partner with operational, clinical, and technology teams to identify opportunities for service improvements and enhanced patient experiences.
Share patient feedback to help inform new processes, workflows, and service enhancements.
Help ensure communication systems, resources, and contact information remain current and accessible.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in Education, Health, Human Services, Nursing, Communications or a related field.

NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
