Job Description Summary

As Procurement Manager Italy (m/f/d) you are responsible for leading the strategic and operational procurement activities for our Powder Metallurgy Business Unit. This role ensures a cost-effective, timely, and high-quality supply to our production sites while driving supplier excellence, sourcing strategies, and continuous cost optimization initiatives.

Job Description:

• Responsibility for strategic and operational procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of production sites.
• Implementation of the regional procurement strategy and continuous improvement of local purchasing processes and supplier structures.
• Conducting price, contract, and commercial negotiations, as well as concluding supplier agreements.
• Analysis of procurement markets and identification, qualification, and development of new suppliers to ensure a competitive supplier base.
• Establishment and maintenance of sustainable supplier relationships, including supplier performance management and claims management.
• Close collaboration with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and regional Procurement teams.
• Leadership, coaching, and development of the local procurement team.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in Procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment, combined with a solid technical understanding.
• Proven experience in the development and implementation of procurement and supplier strategies.
• Strong expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Analytical and solution-oriented approach to work, combined with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Leadership capabilities with the ability to develop team members and collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
• Fluency in German, Italian and English.
