Position Summary
Position: Engineering Design Intern (Summer 2027)
Location: Valencia, California
Major: Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Technology (Junior or Senior is preferred)
Academic Schedule: May – August 2027 (full-time, 40 hours per week, 12 week internship)

Essential Responsibilities
This position will involve research, design, analysis, testing, and documentation for products such as composites, metals, elastomerics, electric heaters, acoustics, and aerodynamics.
Position Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and in good standing
- Junior and Senior students are preferred
- Knowledge/experience in CAD design, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident due to export regulations
- 40 hours per week (12 week internship)
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with SolidWorks and/or Catia v5/v6• Experience with FEA software, such as ANSYS or NASTRAN• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink• Design experience• Testing experience• Specific experience in the aerospace industry and knowledge of the processes employed is a plus
