Job Description

As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and parking areas; provide directions and assistance while maintaining a professional presence at the commercial office location.
• Communicate with property management, tenants, and emergency responders as needed, following established reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
