We are looking for our next Lawn Care Treatment Technician. The Service Professional will perform lawn & shrub services for our residential & commercial customers. These services include fertilization, insect & disease control, weed control, aeration, plant health care, etc. Our customers need a problem solver to diagnose and provide solutions for lawn & landscape problems that may occur. We need an experienced professional who has the desire to work outdoors, has proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers, and brings a positive attitude to work each day.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains the overall health and appearance of the customers' lawn & landscape by applying treatments at the proper time and proper rates to deliver the best results.
- Provides professional, prompt, and courteous customer service
- Applies fertilizers and pesticides to lawns according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions
- Performs seasonal aeration & overseeding using designated equipment
- Keeps up to date on the company's product and service offerings
- Drives a company vehicle safely to customer's homes and businesses
- Maintains vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance
- Performs daily DOT truck inspections
- Completes required paperwork along with proper communication
- Maintains company phone and any equipment associated with it
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness of facility
- Represents Killingsworth with honesty and integrity
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid problem-solving skills and proven time management
- Able and willing to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to operate lawn application equipment safely & effectively
- Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
- Valid driver's license
- Must meet company vehicle and insurance eligibility requirements, including a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in lawn/landscape industry, skilled trades, maintenance, field service, construction, or other hands-on customer service roles is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely operate equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times throughout the workday
- Ability to tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to seasonal weather (extreme heat or cold)
- Subject to exposure to animals and insects being outdoors for much of the day
- You must be able to work in the outside elements, cold, wind, heat, humidity, rain (possibly)
