Summary
Supports engineering aspects of day-to-day MOB operations, mainly tire and wheel assembly operations. The role ensures continuous and safe operation of the production equipment across all plants in North America.Supports managing engineering aspects of equipment related projects and ensures smooth communications between equipment suppliers and local staff/contractors and assures on schedule progress and completion of the entirety of the project from the planning and preparations to confirmation of completed equipment.
What You'll Do
- Support and learn to lead engineering aspects of equipment related projects such as renewal, modification, and new installation by ensuring smooth communication between equipment suppliers and local staff and contractors and assure on-schedule completion with daily progress management.
- Support MOB operations by providing technical support and troubleshooting in the event of production equipment issues, often with help from other engineers.
- Provide expertise for Production preparation/Design Review activities by ensuring the collection of all necessary documents and data by following up with the responsible parties as well as performing type setting adjustment and quality confirmation activities.
- Implementation of Kaizen to operation and equipment. Participate in discussion to learn the details of operation, safety, and quality.
- Assist with Investigation and consideration of new technology implementation to MOB operation.
- Tasks related to the team’s operations, plants’ maintenance activities, and any MOB business related activities.
What You Need
- 1–3 years of internship/co-op or professional experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial/manufacturing project management is preferred but not required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to drive in the US.
Preferred:
- PLC, HMI, Robot, and FA components programming/troubleshooting
- CAD (AutoCAD)
- Mechanical and/or Electrical Hands-on experiences
- Project Management
Required:
- Bilingual in Japanese and English.
Travel
- 30% - 40% required
