About the Role

ALS Coal are looking for a Laboratory Assistant who can work a permanent part-time position based at the Callide Mine site. If you have a drive to produce quality results, join our team!
This role is on a Family Friendly roster, lifestyle roster.
Your day-to-day:
Conducting routine coal sampling and testing
A range of physical tests including, sizing, crushing, dividing samples
Coal Preparation
Despatch – Loading and unloading samples from various plant streams
Day to day Laboratory duties
Assisting with sample preparation and analysis
Maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols
Collaborating with team members across different sites as required
Travel to other mine sites as part of the shift
Manual handling
The Essentials:
Previous experience in a Laboratory or mine setting would be advantageous not essential
Can do attitude is a must
Flexible and adaptable to work extra shifts
A strong focus on safety & Quality
Ability work alone and un-supervised at times.
Driver's License
Must be able to wear full PPE
Good Organisation and Communication Skills
