A Snapshot
Based in our Tokyo headquarters, the Senior Manager, Marketing (Japan) will report to the Senior Director, Marketing and lead AirTrunk's marketing strategy and programs for Japan. You'll have the opportunity to shape how customers, governments, communities and industry stakeholders engage with our brand - strengthening our reputation for innovation, sustainability and hyperscale leadership while supporting business growth across Japan.
Working closely with senior leaders across the business and our regional marketing team, you'll deliver high-impact marketing programs, campaigns, strategic events, thought leadership and customer engagement programs that influence one of AirTrunk's highest-priority markets.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining strategy with execution. In this role you will:
- Lead the development and execution of AirTrunk's marketing strategy and integrated marketing program for Japan.
- Strengthen AirTrunk's brand awareness and reputation as the market leader in Japan hyperscale data centres, sustainability and innovation.
- Act as the trusted marketing advisor to business leaders across Japan, providing strategic marketing counsel and delivering impactful communications that support business growth.
Your Day to Day
- Lead and execute AirTrunk's marketing strategy for Japan - develop and deliver integrated marketing programs that strengthen our brand, reputation and market leadership. This includes but not limited to, local campaigns, events and sponsorships, digital marketing, content, collateral and sales enablement.
- Strengthen AirTrunk's brand leadership and reputation in Japan – deliver strategic marketing programs, thought-leadership and events that enhance AirTrunk's reputation with external stakeholders including customers, government, suppliers and other industry partners.
- Strengthen AirTrunk's social licence to operate - lead local community engagement and the amplification of AirTrunk's social impact partnerships and community programs to build trust, strengthen community relationships and enhance AirTrunk's positive impact across Japan.
- Support customer growth - deliver customer marketing programs, sales tools, customer events, communications and strategic initiatives that strengthen customer acquisition, engagement and long-term relationships.
- Support talent attraction and employer brand - partner with the Talent Acquisition team to strengthen AirTrunk's employer brand in Japan with localised recruitment marketing campaigns, employer branding initiatives and compelling content that attracts high-calibre talent.
- Lead corporate marketing programs - lead and execute corporate marketing programs where required.
- Drive marketing excellence – build strong cross-functional partnerships, ensure seamless marketing operations and use insights and performance metrics to continuously optimise marketing effectiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar generalist marketing communications role, preferably in the data centre, infrastructure, technology, property or related sectors.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or related fields.
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing communications strategies, ideally across APAC and/or within a global organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful marketing programs.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- A proactive, hands-on and agile approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Japan and in the region.
