THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

We are looking for a Partner experience process manager (C6) to serve as our primary operational connector and process driver for partner experience improvements within the Article Management Operational Excellence team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between process engineering and partner enablement, doing the critical legwork to connect our backend technical capabilities with partner-facing stakeholders.

Rather than working in a silo, you will act as the operational engine—collaborating with Propositions, PBO and Product, create operational insights and ensure all teams contribute dynamically to maximize platform partner success.

You get the chance to influence an essential part of the Zalando platform and be involved in making the Article Management strategy a reality over the next years.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Lead core process excellence projects: Run high-impact, system-wide projects focused on improving article management performance, such as system reject reduction, pipeline lead-time optimization, proposition focused improvements and unlocking partner GMV.

• Scale partner-friction solutions: Partner closely with other Partner Operations teams to systematically audit data-submission workflows, analyze root causes of recurring merchant friction, and transform those insights into scalable self-service resources.

• Enable multi-directional communication: You’ll work with the operational teams in Article Management, PBO, Propositions, Partner Tech and other relevant stakeholders across Zalando as well as 3rd party integrators to drive meaningful improvements towards the partner experience and create cost efficiencies related to Article Management on the Zalando platform. 

• Drive strategic partner interventions: Dive into our highest-liability partner pipelines to build targeted, preventative operational playbooks that can later be scaled across the platform.

• You have a process-excellence foundation: You bring demonstrated experience in continuous process improvement, root-cause analysis, and managing mid-sized projects using standard methodologies.

• You are a cross-functional connector: You are an outstanding networker who loves doing the hands-on legwork to connect diverse stakeholders, align perspectives, and break down communication silos.

• You embrace AI and new technologies: You bring the willingness and capability to work effectively using AI tools to optimize operational flows, automate repetitive workflows, and solve process problems at scale.

• You are comfortable with data: You use SQL, Databricks, or advanced spreadsheet modeling to independently extract, aggregate, and analyze data to find the root cause of ingestion blockers.

• You possess deep partner empathy: You have a platform-first mindset that allows you to easily map the partner's operational journey, acting as the "voice of the partner" within internal technical discussions.

• You drive outcomes and set boundaries: You excel at influencing without authority to keep multi-stakeholder actions on track, while demonstrating the assertiveness needed to set clear boundaries for scalable operations.

• You have experience in working in a tech environment: you speak the language of business but understand the technical implications and can collaborate effectively with colleagues from Product and Tech teams.
