Job Description:
Position Summary
The Business Systems Analysis Specialist leads a team of Business Systems Analysts supporting strategic Capital Management Technology initiatives, including Capital Data Modernization, Basel III Endgame implementation, Regulatory Reporting transformation, and Capital Calculation platforms.
This role is accountable for building and leading a high-performing BSA practice while ensuring successful delivery of business and system analysis activities across the Capital portfolio. The successful candidate will partner closely with Technology Leads, Solution Architects, Product Owners, Business stakeholders, Regulatory Reporting teams, and vendors to deliver scalable, controlled, and regulatory-compliant technology solutions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
People Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Business Systems Analysts.
- Establish performance objectives, development plans, and career progression strategies.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and quality reviews of requirements, analysis artifacts, and deliverables.
- Build BSA capability, standards, and best practices across the Capital program.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and resource allocation activities.
Capital Program Delivery Leadership
- Lead analysis activities across Capital Management initiatives and workstreams.
- Ensure business requirements are translated into actionable functional and non-functional specifications.
- Manage delivery priorities, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution across analyst teams.
- Establish consistent methodologies for requirements gathering, documentation, traceability, and testing support.
- Drive execution against program milestones and delivery commitments.
Requirements and Solution Management

- Ensure requirements are complete, testable, traceable, and aligned with architecture standards.
- Facilitate workshops and requirements sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
- Partner with architecture and engineering teams to evaluate solution options and recommend optimal approaches.
- Support Axiom-related requirements and data onboarding activities.
Governance, Risk and Control
- Ensure compliance with TD delivery standards, requirements frameworks, and governance processes.
- Ensure requirements and solutions align with risk, compliance, audit, and regulatory expectations.
- Drive implementation of traceability, controls, and audit-ready documentation.
- Identify and escalate delivery risks, data risks, and requirement gaps proactively.
EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- Graduate degree preferred is an asset
- 7+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience
- 3+ years leading BSA teams or large-scale analysis workstreams
- Experience delivering complex financial services technology initiatives
- Experience working within Agile delivery models
- Leading BSA team in Capital Management and Capital regulatory reporting project
- Experience working in Agile
Preferred Domain Experience
- Basel III / US Endgame
- Axiom Regulatory Reporting
- Enterprise Data Platforms
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL, Databricks and data analysis skills.
- Experience with data mapping, lineage, and data quality processes.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and requirements management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of testing, traceability, and release processes.
