At Access, we love software and how technology never stays the same. It's this obsession that drives us to work closely across sectors to understand the business needs of our customers - from the Hospitality sector to Manufacturing industry to Not for Profit’s to Construction, and many more.
We're passionate about helping our customers stay one step ahead of the challenges facing their industry and business, currently helping over 160,000 customers to have the freedom to do more.

A key part of PaySuite’s growth plan is to become the payments and financial services engine for all Access’ software companies.
About the role:
This role sits at the commercial and go-to-market (GTM) heart of PaySuite’s on On-Access program, acting as the primary commercial partner for Access’ 22 Software Companies (SoftCo’s).
This is a pivotal role in the commercial GTM execution: driving the programme of work required to hit our revenue targets, partnering with the SoftCos to drive payments adoption and transacting volume, and ensuring every live integration converts into merchants transacting at scale.
Internally, you will work closely with SoftCo MDs and GMs, Product & Engineering, Marketing and Finance teams. Externally, you will partner with global and regional acquirers and other strategic partners in the payments and financial services ecosystem.
This is a very exciting role for for someone who combines Payments commercial rigour with execution discipline.
Day-to-day, you will:
SoftCo Commercial Partnering
Partner with SoftCos post-commit, to develop cohort strategies, build targeted activation plans, understanding the full range of commercial levers available to them (pricing structures, merchant incentives, bundling options, and the impact of volume on net margin) and drive adoption.
Act as the guide for SoftCos navigating the Risk & Compliance requirements associated with embedding payments — including offline Customer Risk Evaluations (CREs), KYC/KYB processes, and the compliance framework that governs merchant onboarding.
GTM
Work with SoftCo GTM leads to develop payment-specific go-to-market plans covering customer targeting, messaging, sales motion, sales enablement, support and the commercial proposition for end merchants, and identifying/addressing any structural barriers.
Support the design of merchant onboarding journeys, ensuring the path from sign-up to first transaction is as short and friction-free as possible.
Ensure SoftCos are equipped with, and ready to interpret, adoption reporting across active integrations, including tracking merchant activation rates, time-to-first-transaction, transacting volume, and performance against business case.
Hold financial accountability for the payments growth budget, tracking spend against plan, demonstrating commercial discipline and crucially, demonstrating ownership and accountability to ensure the business cases are met.
Actively monitor merchant and end-customer experience metrics, including onboarding conversion, time-to-first-transaction, and support escalation rates and ensure these are reflected in workstream planning and SoftCo engagement.
Prepare and present board-level and MD-level materials on payments growth progress, ensuring communications are candid about performance, specific about blockers, and clear on the actions required.
Partner Relationships
Support the day-to-day commercial relationship with our key acquiring partners maintaining a strong understanding of our contractual position, volume commitments, and performance against volume goals.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
Essential:
A track record of driving commercial adoption or growth in a Payments environment, preferably SaaS, with demonstrable experience of growing revenue streams.
Strong commercial execution: organized, self-directed and able to design and own executable plan to achieve commercial goals.
Experience engaging directly with senior stakeholders on commercial propositions.
Experience working directly with product or commercial teams in a partner or channel context - influencing without direct authority and building genuine working relationships at pace.
Comfortable working with contracts and commercial frameworks: able to guide stakeholders through commercial agreements, understand the implications of contractual terms, and identify where gaps or risks exist.
Ability to interpret and communicate payment or transaction data clearly - comfortable working with volume metrics, basis point economics, and period-on-period performance analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication — able to translate complex commercial and technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for SoftCo teams who are new to payments.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity — this role requires someone who can make progress in situations where the process isn't fully defined.
Desirable:
Experience in or direct exposure to payments, or embedded finance; familiarity with acquiring economics (interchange, scheme fees, basis points), KYC/KYB processes, or payment gateway integrations.
Experience operating within a multi-product SaaS group with a portfolio of software businesses, and an understanding of the dynamics between a central platform and divisional products.
Experience designing or delivering GTM programmes for financial or payments products, including sales enablement, merchant onboarding, or adoption campaigns.
Experience working with Risk & Compliance teams in a regulated or semi-regulated environment.
