Carpet Designer - Patcraft CommercialPosition Overview
Carpet Designer - Patcraft Commercial
Patcraft designs flooring solutions that transform spaces and experiences, connecting our inner spaces with the outer world. Inspired by our surroundings, we create products for learning, healing, working, and living. We prioritize performance, sustainability, and design, striving to close the loop and reduce environmental impact. Our flooring solutions are balanced at the intersection of these elements, ensuring they meet the needs of today while looking toward the future. Patcraft is dedicated to creating products that not only enhance spaces but also contribute to a better world through thoughtful, sustainable design practices. Patcraft is a part of Shaw Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. with more than $5 billion in annual sales and approximately 18,000 associates worldwide.
Patcraft’s award-winning design team is looking for a skilled, curious designer with a strong design sensibility and a passion for color, pattern, textiles and materials. Our commercial flooring designers are both creative thinkers and product makers. You’ll explore ideas, experiment with color, pattern and materials, and take products from early concept through sampling, refinement and commercialization. You’ll design around real customer and market needs while having the freedom to explore how we solve them. With manufacturing close at hand and the resources and expertise of Shaw Industries behind us, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of flooring while working closely with Fabrication and Manufacturing. You’ll stay close to the development process, seeing your ideas evolve through sampling and refinement into finished commercial flooring.
This hybrid position is based at our Create Centre campus in Cartersville, GA, north of the Atlanta metropolitan area and will work in the office 3-4 days per week.
