The Procurement Data Analyst supports the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions that enable business insights and operational decision making. This role works closely with business and technology teams to build and maintain data pipelines, support data visualization efforts, and ensure data quality and reliability. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in SQL, data modeling, AI tools, and analytics, with a desire to learn modern cloud and big data technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams to understand data requirements and reporting requirements.

· Write, test, and troubleshoot SQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and data integration tasks.

· Build and support dashboards and visualizations that communicate business insights effectively.

· Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to move and transform data across systems.

· Assist in the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse solutions.

· Apply data modeling principles, including understanding of star schema and dimensional modeling concepts.

· Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality or performance issues.

· Follow data governance, security, and compliance standards to ensure data accuracy and protection.

· Document technical solutions, processes, and data flows.

· Build strong partnerships with business and technical teams by understanding processes, systems, and terminology.

· Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in AI, data engineering, and analytics.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.

Experience: 1+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, software development, or a related technical field. Internship, co-op, academic project, or practical experience working with data is preferred.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in SQL.

· Basic understanding of data modeling and relational databases.

· Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

· Familiarity with Python, SQL scripting, or similar programming languages.

· Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes.

· Exposure to AI solutioning and predictive analytics to support data-driven procurement decisions.

Soft Skills:

· Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver actionable insights.

· Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

· Effective collaboration and teamwork.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
