Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Human Resources is responsible for providing generalist support for specific areas of the business including site staff. These responsibilities include policy development and administration, employee relations, legal & government reporting & compliance. Responsible for executing the Performance Management Process including objective setting, mid-year reviews and annual performance evaluations. Work with organization’s managerial staff to plan for staffing fluctuations, changes in organizational structure and general HR consulting. May include supervisory responsibility for HR administrator and/or HR Generalists.*This position requires working onsite in Lake Zurich 3 days per week; remaining days may be worked remotely.

• Salary Range: $135,000-150,000.
• Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 14% of the base salary.
• Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
- Employee relations, partner with managers/supervisors to assist with employee conduct and/or performance issues. Provide support during disciplinary action.
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations and determine course of action to address harassment or misconduct issues.
- Advise on coaching/counseling and problem resolution techniques.
- Support recruiting team, interview as needed and approve all offers.
- Policy design, development and administration, benefits troubleshooting, and manage/maintains vendor relationships if required.
- Manage Regulatory compliance and reporting as requested to include, monthly headcount, affirmative action compliance, EEO1 reports, Vets100 reporting, benefits enrollment, and organizational structure.
- Partner with Management Team on organizational design and changes.
- Conduct Employee orientation, assist with employee development, and training.
- Support employee safety, welfare, and wellness education.
- Work within the HRIS making changes and updates when necessary and provides troubleshooting and training for day-to-day users.
- Serve as liaison between payroll and HR function.
- Manage compensation including promotions, annual merit increases, incentive programs, and reviews market data to make suggestions through the year.
- Ensure day-to-day benefit and general paperwork issues are maintained through management of HR staff.
- Work with functional Management team to ensure Employee Engagement is met and maintained within the functions.
- Participate in periodic Worker’s Compensation, open claims review, and assist to close files. Review and monitor disability claims to ensure compliance with policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of experience in a related field
- Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent active listening and presentation skills
- Must have knowledge of benefits, recruitment, compensation, and general labor laws.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects on a large and small scale that require differing levels of input from the organization.
