This is an excellent opportunity for a bookkeeper who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work, and has a naturally analytical and detail-focused approach. The ideal candidate will not simply process transactions but will have an "open eye" for identifying discrepancies, unusual activity, and potential errors before they become bigger problems.
Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain routine financial and accounting reports
- Review account activity and flag inconsistencies or issues to management
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping and reconciliation processes
- Review and approve employee timesheets in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure transactions are properly recorded and allocated
- Assist with general bookkeeping and accounting administration as required
- Work closely with the outsourced accounting/CPA team to ensure the client's financial records remain accurate and complete
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper
- Strong experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Sage preferred
- Candidates with strong bookkeeping experience but limited NetSuite/Sage exposure may be considered, as training can be provided
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and mistakes
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to investigate transactions rather than simply process them
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience working with US-based clients is advantageous
Working Hours
- 20–25 hours per week
- Flexible working hours
- The successful candidate will need to provide approximately 2 hours of overlap with the US client/team
- Preference will be given to candidates who can work during the first four hours of their working day, allowing for greater collaboration and communication with the client
