Position Summary
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate receiving and outgoing inspection of items to ensure count and product accuracy. The individual in this role will support loading and unloading procedures, receiving inspections, material movements, and other duties as needed to support the site.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant.
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday between 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate receiving and outgoing inspection of items to ensure count and product accuracy. The individual in this role will support loading and unloading procedures, receiving inspections, material movements, and other duties as needed to support the site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive all material, verify physical count with PO and paperwork and process in Warehouse App in a timely manner.
- Perform required inspections on raw incoming steel, including utilizing a micrometer and tape measure to validate the material.
- Validate SubCon materials are stamped correctly and quantities match WO and/or PO before shipping material out and receiving materials back in.
- Ensure items are moved to correct storage locations matching the physical and systematic movements and ensuring all items are tagged appropriately.
- Safely operate forklift daily for loading and unloading raw material and orders.
- Maintain open communication with the Shipping & Receiving Manager and the Pick/Pack Supervisor to ensure orders are ready and shipping on-time and complete.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years’ experience / basic knowledge of Shipping & Receiving.
- Ability to effectively work independently, be well organized, and detail oriented.
- Ability to interface with others in a professional manner while maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude.
- Possess technical ability, with an eye for abnormalities and aptitude for detail.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to write routine reports in a professional manner.
REASONING ABILITY
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation.
- Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.
- Experience using scanners in a warehouse setting for material movements.
- Experience with manufacturing ERP preferred.
