As Receptionist you'll be the warm welcome and trusted guide for patients, families, and visitors, helping each person feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive or call.In this important patient-facing role, you'll support our healthcare team. You'll do this by connecting people to the right resources, keeping daily operations running smoothly, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
What You'll Do
- Answer and direct incoming calls promptly.
- Take accurate messages and deliver them promptly.
- Schedule patient appointments, and coordinate transportation.
- Verify insurance information, collect payments, and assist with New Patient paperwork.
- Conduct center tours for prospective patients.
- Issue visitor passes, maintain accurate visitor logs, and notify team members of arrivals.
- Provide helpful, accurate information to inquiries about our location, hours, and services.
- Help with daily administrative tasks, such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and managing courier packages.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all healthcare compliance guidelines in handling patient information.
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and always welcoming.
- Open and closing our center daily.

Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred; will consider candidates with strong customer service backgrounds in retail, hospitality, or call centers.
- Passion for supporting a healthcare mission and continuously improving patient experiences.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a value-based care model.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Additional Information
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
