Overview

UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring an Electrical Foreman located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Supervise the activities of the Electrical Department that performs maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems by applying electrical principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support pertaining to all electrical controls and instrumentation.
  • Conduct scheduling of the Electrical Department staff and resources.
  • Oversee the structuring of bills of material (BOM) for all products.
  • Partner in the conversion from Epicor to Oracle MRP systems.
  • Act as a liaison between the Production Department and the Electrical Department.
  • Act as a liaison between Lead Technicians and the Materials Group.
  • Act as a liaison between Lead Technicians and the Engineering Group.
  • Provide document control and coordination/Revision-Breakpoint control.
  • Conduct process development for electrical assembly in both sub and final.
  • Create and maintain standards and training development for the Electrical Department.
  • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises electrical department staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance and discipline.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 (three) years of experience with electrical controls and instrumentation, manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of the calibration, testing, troubleshooting and installation of instrumentation and/or electrical equipment.
  • Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience as a lead/supervisor is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures.
  • Must be capable of utilizing proper PPE.

  • Exerts up to 50 lbs of force occasionally. Able to lift 65 pounds from floor to shoulder height rarely.
  • Physical strength and ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor, including frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hand , and fingers.
  • Able to climb ladders or steps/stairs to get to equipment.
  • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on shift.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
  • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
  • Working in the vicinity of hazardous, flammable materials and solvents and engine exhaust fumes, along with refrigeration gases.
  • Work in air conditioned office, outside and workshop.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.
