The Role and Impact In this role, you will work as part of our advanced electron microscopy lab, supporting Intel's technology development efforts. You will be responsible for preparing ultra-thin specimens and/or performing Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) analysis to assist with process development, product qualification, and failure analysis. Your expertise in utilizing advanced tools like dual-beam Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems and TEM imaging will directly contribute to Intel's research and development activities, ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge innovations. Business Group Intel Foundry is dedicated to driving innovation and enabling manufacturing excellence. Within this organization, the OR TEM Auto Prep team focuses on delivering high-quality materials analysis to support Intel's broader technology development efforts. This group plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of Intel's advanced product designs and manufacturing processes by leveraging expertise in lab operations to support critical research and development objectives. Key Responsibilities - Perform technical functions to support engineering activities like fabrication, process integration, and failure analysis. - Conduct detailed engineering tasks and technical procedures to prepare samples or capture imaging using advanced FIB and TEM tools. - Complete work in alignment with general instructions and priorities while exercising judgment in resolving non-standard problems. - Maintain necessary records and reports for lab activities and ensure adherence to established protocols. - Continuously upgrade skills through hands-on training and collaboration with peers to stay current with evolving technologies and methodologies. - Participate in lab sustaining efforts, ensuring the availability and maintenance of analytical tools and processes. - Execute other related duties as required or directed.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Materials Science, or a comparable field, with 0-3 years of hands-on lab or manufacturing experience. - OR an Associate's degree in a relevant technical field with 6-8 years of lab or manufacturing experience. - Proficiency in using advanced lab tools, such as dual-beam Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems and TEM imaging equipment. - Strong understanding of sample preparation techniques and lab protocols. Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing or analytical lab environment. - Familiarity with laboratory-scale tools and pipetting techniques. - Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work effectively in team settings. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
