The CSA Project Manager is responsible for leading the onsite execution of civil, structural, concrete, and structural steel construction activities within a large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. This role works closely with the Director of Construction, contractors, subcontractors, engineering, project controls, EHS, quality, and other project stakeholders to safely deliver construction activities in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget. The position provides field leadership and project management from planning through construction and closeout while coordinating interfaces between CSA and other construction disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of CSA construction activities, with a primary focus on structural concrete and structural steel.
- Manage projects from initial planning through construction execution, turnover, and closeout.
- Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, project controls, and change management.
- Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements to identify potential issues and constructability concerns.
- Coordinate structural concrete activities including foundations, slabs, equipment pads, embeds, elevated structures, and related work.
- Coordinate structural steel procurement, delivery, erection, connections, and associated construction activities.
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower, productivity, schedule progress, and quality.
- Lead and participate in contractor coordination meetings, schedule reviews, planning sessions, and field walks.
- Identify and resolve RFIs, design changes, field issues, constructability concerns, and project constraints.
- Coordinate with project controls to maintain accurate schedules, forecasts, progress reporting, and project documentation.
- Support change management activities including scope validation, cost impacts, and commercial documentation.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, applicable codes, and construction management practices.
- Partner with EHS teams and contractors to maintain a strong safety culture and Culture of Caring.
- Support quality inspections, documentation, punch list development, turnover, and project closeout.
- Coordinate CSA interfaces with mechanical, electrical, process, utilities, commissioning, and equipment installation teams.
- Proactively identify schedule conflicts, project risks, and resource requirements and develop solutions in collaboration with the project team.
- Provide regular project status updates to the Director of Construction.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
- Strong project management and field leadership skills within large-scale construction environments.
- Extensive knowledge of structural concrete and structural steel construction.
- Strong understanding of civil, structural, and architectural construction practices.
- Experience managing contractors and subcontractors performing concrete and structural steel work.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors, work packages, and competing project priorities.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and related technical documentation.
- Experience coordinating foundations, slabs, equipment pads, embeds, elevated structures, structural steel erection, and connections.
- Experience with project scheduling, budget management, project controls, change control, and construction execution.
- Strong understanding of contractor performance, manpower planning, productivity tracking, and schedule management.
- Ability to identify and resolve RFIs, constructability concerns, design changes, field issues, and project constraints.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, construction, project controls, EHS, quality, client teams, and other construction disciplines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling and documentation tools.

- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, large-scale industrial construction environment.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
