Description

We made history, and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

In this role…

You will apply your operational leadership background and supply chain expertise to ensure uninterrupted material availability for production, drive continuous improvement in inventory and logistics performance, and build strong partnerships with suppliers, carriers, and cross-functional plant teams.

What you'll do…

  • Lead the plant's end-to-end supply chain function, including inbound logistics, material planning, inventory management, and dock-to-line material flow
  • Ensure on-time delivery of parts and materials to support daily production schedules and prevent line-down situations
  • Manage supplier, third-party logistics (3PL), and freight carrier relationships to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, and production control teams to align supply chain strategy with build schedules and launch timing
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve inventory turns, and lower logistics costs
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply chain analysts, schedulers, and logistics coordinators
  • Monitor KPIs — inventory accuracy, fill rate, freight costs, dock-to-dock cycle time — and report performance to plant leadership
  • Manage risk mitigation for supply disruptions, including contingency planning and supplier issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and Ford Production System (FPS) standards across all supply chain activities
  • Collaborate with corporate supply chain, purchasing, and engineering teams on sourcing decisions, program launches, and capacity planning

You'll have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, materials management, or logistics within automotive or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated leadership managing teams in a plant or distribution environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT) principles, and inventory control systems (CMMS)
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) and supply chain planning tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with flexibility to support multiple shifts as needed

Even better, you'll have…

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field
  • APICS/CPIM or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with vehicle assembly plant launches
  • Familiarity with the Ford Production System (FPS) or similar automotive manufacturing systems

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work-life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $112,680-212,760.
