The Medicine Department at HMFP @ BIDMC is seeking a Nephrologist for a part-time faculty position for our Boston location.  

This role is as outlined below:

Clinical and Teaching Expectations

Inpatient Coverage

• 6 weeks BIDMC Boston Renal Consultation or Dialysis Attending
• 3 weekends per year at BI Boston
• 40 weeks and 4-5 weekends covering community hospitals at BI Needham and Milton

Outpatient Coverage (All clinics with 44 weeks/year expectation)

• 2 clinics per week supporting BIDMC Nephrology at either BIDMC Boston or a community site. Total annual clinic expectation is 88 clinics
• Attending of record for dialysis patients in the Quincy/Weymouth area

Teaching

Your teaching responsibilities will include precepting medical trainees to include fellows, residents and medical students.

The candidate will be appointed to the faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience.

Interested candidates should have: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board-certified or eligible in Nephrology
• A valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Pay Range:

$120,000 - $350,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
