Role Overview
The Production Supervisor manages daily production activity within a plant for a single production line or specific area on one shift. You will lead the team to meet production goals, strengthen productivity, and improve operational efficiency while reinforcing safe and consistent execution.
What will you do?
- Manage the daily production function for an assigned line or area during one shift.
- Lead, coach, and motivate production personnel to support productivity, quality, and safe work practices.
- Coordinate work activities to help meet production schedules and timely output targets.
- Monitor production performance and take action to improve efficiency, reduce delays, and address issues.
- Partner with other departments to support smooth workflow and resolve production constraints.
- Support training, development, and performance feedback for team members.
- Reinforce standard operating procedures and consistent execution across the area.
How will you do it?
- Take ownership of shift performance by staying close to the work, tracking output, and addressing barriers quickly and responsibly.
- Keep priorities clear by communicating expectations to the team and aligning daily actions with the production plan.
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing metrics, identifying root causes, and following through on practical solutions that improve efficiency.
- Win as one team by coaching with candor, building trust, and working collaboratively across functions and perspectives.
What are we looking for?
- University degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail in production processes.
- Ability to use production management software and tools.
