Job Summary
The Sr. Application Interoperability Analyst is a member of the Information Services Team with high level knowledge of the core HCIS system (Meditech Expanse) consisting of EHR, Revenue Cycle, Support Services, and Data Analytics and Reporting, helping to support various administrative, financial, and hospital operation processes within our healthcare organization. Sr. Application Interoperability Analyst is responsible for the design and development of the workflow(s) involving data exchange between Meditech, 3rd party systems, and various reporting tools. Addresses the day-to-day operational support, the monitoring of issues, system optimization, and the expertise and usage of Meditech BCA (Business Clinical Analytics). Supports the use of supplemental add-on software and devices that interface to Meditech Expanse. Ensures 3rd Party solutions proposed and implemented by department leaders are vetted to meet Cybersecurity standards and have the capabilities to integrate with Meditech Expanse, providing a single source of truth for data and improving efficiency across departments
Must be able to provide ready solutions at hand, be responsive to facilitating application refinements or corrections provided by subject matter experts while using team leadership skills to identify key stakeholders. Independently provides system consultation, analysis and overall leadership related to acquisition, support and use of complex, integrated computing applications. Uses project management methodology and tools to manage projects. May provide direction and/or oversee work performed in relation to an assigned project or specific business service workflow analysis and correction. As a member of the Information Services department, may function as both a team leader and effective team member. Must be willing and able to travel to various worksites.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in the area of a clinical field, business, or computer related field is highly preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered. Advanced Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
A minimum of five (5) years of Information Services experience in a hospital setting. Proven Project management including use of planning, workflow analysis, consensus building, testing, training, validation testing, go live planning and support. Knowledge and experience working with HL7 Interfaces are a plus. Strong analytic reasoning. Team Leadership skills. Clear, concise oral and written communications skills. Excellent customer service skills.
