As a Packaging Specialist, crucial responsibilities include repackaging prescription drugs per FDA guidelines and utilizing material-processing requirements for packaging, warehousing, and transportation operations. They are also tasked with developing and approving packaging component specifications, conducting performance tests on package designs, and ensuring components meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the packaging email inbox and Transportation Management System for all daily order requests ensuring all go out when required.
• Provide timely and accurate updates to requests for information via email, phone, Transportation Management System, and Teams.  
• Assist packaging specialist to ensure all orders are processed in a timely manner and accurately completed.
• Oversee the maintenance of all office inventory, including data loggers, FX/UPS supplies, warehouse, and the live tracking GPS system.
• Organize, track, and store incoming inventory.
• Ensure that returned packages are reported for inventory purposes and are refurbished and stored properly.
• Ensure that each shipment that departs the warehouse is complete and staged before the daily pick-up.
• Perform quarterly Preventive Maintenance on our equipment to ensure they are working as intended.
• Assemble and stage thermal packaging solutions for clinical trial and life science shipments, ensuring packaging is complete, properly labeled, and ready for operational use.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to packaging preparation, conditioning activities, inventory management, and quality control requirements
• Inspect, refurbish, clean, and return packaging materials to inventory while ensuring all packaging components remain compliant and fit for reuse
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Work Schedule:

• Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM 
• Tuesday:  11:00 AM – 7:00 PM  
• Wednesday:  11:00 AM – 7:00 PM  
• Thursday:  11:00 AM – 7:00 PM  
• Friday:  11:00 AM – 7:00 PM  
• Saturday: As needed 
• Sunday: As needed

These hours are subject to change based off business needs. Flexibility in availability is essential, as adjustments may be required to meet operational demands. Further information will be discussed during the interviewing process. 

Compensation: 

$20.00–$23.00 per hour, with starting pay based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

Requirements

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing process.
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain dynamics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Travel & Work Conditions:

• Frequently push, pull, and lift boxes up to 55 pounds.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Education & Experience:

• Has a high school diploma or equivalent 
• 3-5 years of experience in packaging design and development preferred.

Work Authorization:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without any type of work authorization or work sponsorship now or in the future.
