PW Maintenance Worker, Specialist - Wastewater

The City of Bothell’s Public Works Department is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills to join our team as the next Public Works Maintenance Specialist - Wastewater in the Utilities Division!

What will you do in this position?

• Wastewater Collection System Inspection & Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on wastewater collection systems.
• Specialized Equipment Operation: Operate combination sewer cleaner/Vactor and hydro-jetting equipment.
• CCTV Sewer Inspection: Conduct CCTV inspections to identify pipeline defects and determine maintenance or repair needs.
• Lift Station Maintenance: Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on lift stations, including wet wells, pumps, alarms, controls, and SCADA systems.
• Sewer Main & Manhole Maintenance: Perform routine sewer main cleaning, root cutting, and manhole inspections.
• Emergency Response: Respond to sewer blockages, sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs), spills, and other wastewater system emergencies.
• CMOM Compliance: Perform work in accordance with CMOM principles to support safe, reliable, and compliant wastewater operations.
