As an HR Generalist, you'll be a key part of our mission of Powering Progress Through Travel; researching, strategizing, and taking action to improve how our business operates, especially related to policies, procedures, and employment legislation. You'll get the inside scoop on multiple facets and functions of HR including our Business Partners, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Management, and more.

Will consider hybrid working arrangement (virtual and work in business office, as needed). Our HQ office is located at 666 3rd Ave in NYC.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with HRBPs to identify problems, roadblocks, and build effective solutions
• Advocate for colleagues and address their HR-related questions and concerns
• Provide strategic and technical support for complex HR issues, programs, and policies
• Manage employee relations by investigating and resolving workplace issues with leaders and HRBPs
• Support performance management through coaching, counseling, and improvement actions
• Guide compensation planning to align colleague rewards with performance during annual cycles
• Collaborate with compensation experts to resolve payroll-related questions and issues
• Coordinate foreign national immigration visa processes with internal and external paralegals
• Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives for HR policies and practices
• Develop HR reports, presentations, and documentation for departmental needs

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
• Strong understanding of core HR processes, including recruitment, selection, compensation, talent management, and employee relations
• Bachelor's degree in HR, a related field, or equivalent HR experience
• CHRP or other accredited HR certification preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels, including handling sensitive employment topics
• Solid understanding of US and Canadian employment law practices
• Genuine interest in staying current on HR regulations and trends, and applying that knowledge
• Ability to identify trends and measure outcomes using data, analytical thinking, and strategic problem-solving
• Open-minded and adaptable, with the persistence to see projects through to completion
• International experience and comfort working with remote teams across time zones is a plus

The US national base salary range for this position is from 

$72,100.00 - $133,900.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
