Supply Chain Supervisor

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor. The position will be based at our Arden, NC facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

The position will report to the Materials Operations Manager and provide leadership for critical supply chain functions that support operational performance, customer satisfaction, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement across the business. In this role, you will share common leadership responsibilities in different parts of the Supply Chain organization; these positions have a distinct area of focus that may include:

Materials Planning & Inventory Management:

Leads production planning, inventory management, and material availability activities. This role manages Planner-Buyer resources and ensures materials and services are available to support production schedules while optimizing inventory investment and supplier performance.

Logistics & Warehousing:

Leads shipping, receiving, warehousing, transportation, and internal material handling operations. This role ensures the efficient movement of materials into, throughout, and out of the facility while supporting customer on-time performance, quality, safety, and cost objectives.

Common Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management, goal setting, training, mentoring, and career development planning.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain standard work, operating procedures, and training materials.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to achieve business objectives.
• Support strategic business initiatives and improvement projects, including Project Depot, Quantum Shyft, Ignition, and Fusion and future site initiatives.
• Identify and resolve operational issues impacting customer service, productivity, cost, quality, or material availability.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to achieve organizational goals.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Eaton policies, ISO requirements, safety regulations, and 5S standards.
• Participate in budget management and cost reduction initiatives within assigned areas.
• Develop cross-training plans and workforce flexibility strategies.

## What you’ll do:

Supply Chain Supervisor - Materials Planning & Inventory Management:

• Lead production planning, inventory control, and production scheduling activities.
• Supervise Planner-Buyers and coordinate priorities to support production schedules and customer commitments.
• Manage procurement activities for a broad range of direct and indirect materials and services.
• Determine material requirements necessary to support manufacturing operations and shipment demands.
• Drive resolution of material shortages, supplier delivery issues, and supply chain disruptions.
• Optimize inventory levels, inventory turns, and Days on Hand (DOH) while maintaining material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance and partner with suppliers to improve delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
• Analyze demand trends, business forecasts, and supplier capacity to proactively manage supply risks.
• Develop and maintain planning strategies, ERP/MRP parameters, and inventory management processes.
• Lead improvement initiatives focused on supplier performance, inventory optimization, and planning effectiveness.
• Oversee operations of our centralized warehouse as well as point of use material

## ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supply Chain Supervisor - Logistics & Warehousing:

• Lead shipping, receiving, warehousing, transportation, internal material handling, and rack management activities.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and timely customer shipments that support customer on-time performance goals.
• Manage inbound and outbound freight operations to achieve service, quality, and cost objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers and third-party logistics partners.
• Oversee receiving processes to ensure accurate material transactions and inventory integrity.
• Manage onsite and off-site warehouse operations to support material availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient space utilization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation costs, warehouse efficiency, and material handling productivity.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, packaging, transportation claims, and logistics-related work instructions and procedures.
• Manage freight spending and identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance.
• Continuing to drive improvements in rack management, warehouse organization, and material flow throughout the facility.

## Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, materials management, or manufacturing
• Minimum of one (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Finance, Accounting from an accredited institution
• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with ERP/MRP, Kanban systems and AS400.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience leading Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing inventory, planning, purchasing, logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations.
• Experience managing freight carriers, transportation providers, or logistics service relationships.
