So, if you want to inspire a brighter work day for everyone, including yourself, you’ve found a match in Workday, and we hope to be a match for you too.

About the Team

The Vice President will lead approximately 55 Workmates via seven direct reports across a variety of functions. They will build a high-performing, inclusive organization grounded in Workday’s values of Employees, Customer Service, Innovation, Integrity, Fun, and Profitability. The leader will create clarity, accountability, and an environment where Workmates are empowered to collaborate, challenge constructively, and deliver measurable outcomes.
The role partners closely with Global Customer Operations, the Commercial Acceleration Office, Sales and Revenue Operations, Customer Experience, Product and Technology, Business Technology, Competitive and Market Intelligence, and GTM enablement teams. The leader will develop a strong leadership bench and align these stakeholders around shared commercial, customer, and growth priorities.

About the Role

The Vice President, Analytics & Compensation leads the Analytics, Insights, and Sales Compensation functions within the Global Customer Operations organization, accountable for using trusted commercial data, modern analytics, sales-compensation operations, and Revenue Operations data management to improve seller effectiveness, decision quality, and scalable growth. The position sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, analytics, data operations, and field enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Set the commercial analytics, insights, and AI strategy. Define the vision, operating model, priorities, and roadmap for commercial analytics, insights, and AI-enabled decision support. Ensure that data and insights are timely, trusted, accessible, and actionable for sales leaders, renewal teams, and sellers. Translate customer, market, pipeline, renewal, win-rate, account, contact, and seller-performance data into clear recommendations that improve go-to-market execution.

  • Lead AI-enabled commercial intelligence. Champion the responsible application of AI, automation, and advanced analytics across the commercial organization. Identify and scale opportunities to use AI to surface risks, prioritize actions, improve forecast and renewal outcomes, streamline commercial workflows, and give sellers relevant, contextual guidance.

  • Modernize the analytics ecosystem. Lead the Analytics Modernization Program, including the migration and rationalization of reporting and analytics platforms toward Snowflake, Sigma, and scalable self-service capabilities. Establish an integrated roadmap across CX, product, customer, and commercial data, with clear standards for governance, data access, security, and adoption.

  • Deliver actionable insights to the field. Partner with Sales, Renewals, Competitive Intelligence, and Product teams to embed practical insights into go-to-market tools, operating cadences, and playbooks. Build the capabilities to identify at-risk renewals and opportunities, competitive patterns, customer cohorts, account signals, whitespace, and seller behaviors that improve outcomes. Translate analysis into clear next-best actions so commercial teams can act early and with confidence.

  • Advance the renewals data and insights agenda. Equip renewal leaders and teams with reliable customer, product, usage, commercial, and risk insights that improve retention and expansion decisions. Partner with Customer Experience and Revenue Operations to establish a unified view of customer health, renewal risk, opportunity, and value realization.

  • Own Sales Compensation operations and experience. Oversee the design, deployment, administration, communications, and service experience for sales compensation plans. Ensure plans are deployed accurately and at scale; enhance transparency for sales leaders and workmates; and continuously improve case-resolution and communication performance.

  • Lead Revenue Operations data management and commercial data quality. Govern the processes, standards, and capabilities that expand and maintain high-quality account, contact, agreement, renewal, and commercial data. Lead enrichment, cleanup, data migration, and M&A integration efforts that improve the completeness, reliability, and usability of data across the revenue organization.

  • Drive measurable commercial outcomes. Establish success measures that connect analytics, AI, data quality, renewal insights, and compensation operations to outcomes including renewal rate, retention, expansion, win rate, account and contact coverage, seller productivity, service levels, stakeholder satisfaction, and addressable-market growth.

  • Advise senior commercial leadership and enable forward-looking planning. Provide insight, recommendations, and actionable suggestions to senior commercial leadership, including the President of Commercial Operations, to inform strategic decisions, anticipate opportunities and risks, and shape annual planning.

  • Drive territory assignment and quota planning. Lead the analytics, data, and automation capabilities that improve territory planning, accelerate account and seller assignment, and support efficient, equitable quota-setting processes.

About You

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in a high-growth SaaS, enterprise technology, or similarly complex global environment, with significant experience in commercial strategy, Revenue Operations, analytics, insights, data management, renewals, and/or sales compensation.

  • Proven executive leadership experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams through senior leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute an enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI transformation agenda, including platform modernization, dashboard rationalization, self-service enablement, data governance, and adoption.

  • Strong understanding of sales and renewal motions, customer lifecycle management, compensation operations, commercial performance metrics, and field workflows.

  • Track record of translating analytical insight into measurable commercial action through seller tools, AI-enabled recommendations, leader operating cadences, and field-facing playbooks.

  • Experience developing and scaling responsible AI and automation use cases, with sound judgment around data quality, security, privacy, risk, and human oversight.

  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs involving commercial, customer, product, and sensitive enterprise data.

  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, organizational leadership, and change-management capabilities.

  • A collaborative, action-oriented leader who can balance strategic ambition with operational excellence and build trust across a broad set of business and technical partners.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.

At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email
