As a Resident Services Officer, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming, responsive, and supportive environment for residents and their families. You will be the friendly face of the village, helping residents stay connected, informed, and engaged while ensuring they receive outstanding service and support every day.

Your Opportunity 

This is a permanent part-time opportunity based at Cobbitty Park Village, working preferably on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the potential for additional hours. 

As a Resident Services Officer, you will be a key point of contact within our Retirement Village community, providing frontline customer service, reception and concierge support, administration, resident assistance and event coordination. 

Working closely with residents, families, village teams, and external stakeholders, you will help create a positive resident experience through excellent communication, problem solving, and community engagement. 

You will support residents to navigate village services, stay connected to community activities and access the support they need to live well and independently within the village. 

With warmth, professionalism and a strong customer focus, you will: 

Customer Service and Front-of-House 

  • Provide a welcoming and professional reception and concierge experience for residents, visitors, staff and contractors 

  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident enquiries, concerns and requests 

  • Support residents to access village services, technology and wellbeing programs 

  • Assist with onboarding and orientation for new residents to ensure a smooth transition into village life 

Administration and Communication 

  • Manage reception functions including phones, emails, room bookings, mail and general administration 

  • Maintain accurate resident records and village information systems 

  • Update digital display boards, newsletters, notices and village communications 

Lifestyle and Event Support 

  • Support the delivery of village activities, events and resident wellbeing initiatives 

  • Assist with event planning, room setup, registrations and resident participation 

  • Encourage residents to engage in social and community activities 

  • Support transport arrangements and resident attendance at village events where required 

Resident Support 

  • Assist residents with day-to-day enquiries and practical support needs 

  • Work collaboratively with village teams to ensure residents receive timely assistance 

  • Support residents with accessing amenities, services and community resources 

  • Help create a safe, inclusive and connected village environment 

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, contractors and village teams 

  • Assist in resolving operational issues and escalating concerns where appropriate 

  • Provide support and leave coverage for fellow Resident Services Officers when required 

Safety and Workplace Culture 

  • Promote a safe, clean and welcoming environment 

  • Follow workplace health and safety requirements and report hazards appropriately 

 

What You will Bring 

You are a people-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting others and creating positive customer experiences. 

You will also need: 

  • Experience in customer service, reception, administration or hospitality 

  • Experience in age care, retirement living, hospitality or community services is highly desirable 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • A genuine passion for supporting older people  

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM digital systems 

  • Current unrestricted Driver's License is required
