Registered Nurse – Scrub / Scout (Cardiac and Vascular Theatres) | Buderim Private Hospital 

  • Employment Term:  Permanent Part Time or Casual Opportunities Available 

  • Location: Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast 

  • Remuneration: $42.50 - $54.62 per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our Buderim Hospital team  

Our Cardiac Services team provide diagnostic and interventional cardiac services and offer patients from the greater Sunshine Coast region the highest possible level of care.  We have two dedicated Cardiovascular Theatres, a Critical Care service which includes Intensive Care, all supported by highly qualified specialist cardiologists and electrophysiologists, an intensivist service, a 24-hour Resident Medical Officer service and specially-trained nursing staff. 

As part of our Cardiac Catheter Theatres, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills. 

This position will include scrub and scout responsibilities, as well as monitoring including cardiac haemodynamic monitoring, documentation and supporting the procedural team. On call participation will also be required. 

What makes a difference for us? 

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration, with a minimum of 12 months post-graduate experience in Scrub Scout 

  • Experience in cardiac haemodynamic monitoring 

  • Experience within Cardiac Vascular Theatres 

  • Full Australian Working Rights (please note, we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time) 

  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices. 

  • A commitment to patient safety and quality improvements and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment 

  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
