Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Security Specialist – International to join the F-35 program at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) leads life-cycle management of the F-35 Lightning II, the fifth-generation joint strike fighter serving the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Cooperative Program Partners (CPP), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers across multiple classification levels — including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Special Access Programs (SAP), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). The F-35 JPO Security Directorate provides full-spectrum, multi-disciplined security support to protect F-35 technology and information across the enterprise and throughout the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle, spanning Continental United States (CONUS) and overseas operations globally.
The role of the Security Specialist – International (Senior) is to provide SME-level guidance and senior-level interface for international security programs supporting F-35 Partner nations and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers in the European theater, including Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs), Program Security Instruction (PSI) development, and Access Management Control Plan (AMCP) preparation, operating from Ramstein Air Base, Germany:
- Provide multi-disciplined security guidance and SME-level advice to F-35 Partner nation and FMS security professionals in the European theater
- Plan, execute, and report on overseas Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) to ensure FMS customer facilities meet U.S. Government security requirements
- Actively advise and assist foreign country security managers in developing, tailoring, and obtaining approval for their Program Security Instructions (PSIs) and Access Management Control Plans (AMCPs)
- Provide continuous evaluation of Partner nation and FMS customer security posture; deliver written updates to the International Security Manager, Program Security Officer (PSO), and assigned Security Specialists
- Develop and deliver training to Partner and FMS security professionals to facilitate building, implementing, and managing a comprehensive F-35 security program
- Assist Partner and FMS security professionals in ensuring security policies and procedures comply with Special Access Program (SAP), Classified Military Information (CMI), and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements
- Provide security support at air shows, fighter competitions, and other collaborative events in the European theater
- Possess the ability to address complex security challenges with an understanding of cultural and socio-political dynamics while strengthening relationships that promote mutual interests
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree, OR Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience in international security, foreign disclosure, or security management
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing international security operations in support of DoD Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or security cooperation programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. International/Foreign Affairs objectives, the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), and FMS processes, and/or understanding of international relations policy objectives within Security Assistance
- Demonstrated experience conducting overseas security assistance visits and engaging with foreign government security officials; European theater experience preferred
- Secret/SAR clearance required
