Laboratory Quality Consultant

The role is responsible for ensuring continuous improvement in the laboratories and the related processes. This role contributes by ensuring correct capabilities in the laboratories, that all analysis activities are done with correct priority and that MSAs exist for re-occurring measurements. In addition, the role is responsible to ensure each lab has corrected risk-assessment and correct preventive safety actions in place.   

 Key Responsibilities  

  

• Owner of chemical risk analysis and management for chemicals used in laboratory   

• Owner of measurement order system  

• Continuing improvement of laboratories regarding safety, equipment and methods  

• Responsible for measurement method development  

• Responsible for MSA studies of laboratory and line equipment  

• Project-lead to the acquisition and implementation of new laboratory equipment  

• Support in performing failure analysis of internal failures and customer return products  

• Support to Manufacturing Engineering / Quality team when choosing measurement methods to be implemented in-line  

• Support with CMM programming as necessary   

• Support quality engineers with root cause analysis related to measurement systems  

• Support supplier quality during PPAP of new suppliers regarding measurement methods  

• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, energy efficiency and safety at work standards, policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility  

  

 Education & Experience  

  

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)  

• 5 or more years of experience with metrology, material analysis and / or technical cleanliness  

• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis  

• In-depth understanding of technical documentation and drawings 

• Understanding of electrical schematics preferred  

• Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities  

• Knowledge of VDA 19.2  

• Knowledge of IATF 16949  

• Knowledge in FMEA, MSA, SPC, and PPAP  

• Minitab user is a plus  

• Outstanding communication skills  

• Fluent in English and Turkish (minimum B2)
