Job Family Group, Job Family and Level Descriptors:

Supply Chain Group
Performs supply chain activities such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Defines and implements projects to optimize the supply chain in support of business strategies. Evaluates the competitiveness of the business supply chain with respect to service, cost and investment. Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes.

Supply Chain Management
Optimizes the supply chain in support of business strategies. Manages supply chain processes. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Company standards in the areas of product storage, shipment and supply. May develop and implement standard evaluation tools, metrics, training and support.

Experienced professional or supervisor with in-depth knowledge in a technical or specialized area, responsible for completing complex tasks requiring interpretation of policies and practices, under minimal supervision. May supervise employees, focused on task performance, and recommend improvements to the delivery of specialized processes
• Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and advanced knowledge of related job disciplines.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and differentiators in the market.
• Has built a detailed understanding of market, function, processes and policies gained through multiple years of experience.
• Interprets and applies organizational policies; recommends changes/improvements to specialized processes and procedures.
• May have formal supervisory responsibilities, guiding and prioritizing the activities of individual contributors with similar responsibilities.
• Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
• Works independently with minimal guidance, providing guidance to less senior team members.
• Assignments often require independent judgment and evaluation.
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
