The Principal Cyber Security Architecture Lead will provide strategic leadership for a team of security architects and partner closely with architecture, engineering, data, AI, and infrastructure teams to design and deliver secure enterprise solutions. This role is responsible for integrating security throughout the solution lifecycle, championing Secure by Design principles, and serving as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders.
The successful candidate will help identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks while driving the implementation of security controls across traditional, cloud, SaaS, AI, generative AI, and agentic AI environments. They will play a critical role in enabling innovation while ensuring solutions align with enterprise security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
This position is part of the Danaher Corporate Information Security organization and reports to the Director of Cyber Architecture, Engineering, & Operations. This is a Danaher Corporate role and is fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and maintain comprehensive security architectures, policies, protocols, standards, and guardrails for applications, data pipelines, AI solutions, and critical business systems, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity best practices, enterprise governance, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct threat modeling, risk validation, and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities across software, infrastructure, data sets, and AI solutions; develop mitigation strategies for risks including unauthorized access, data breaches, data tampering, adversarial attacks, and other cyber threats.
Define and implement security requirements for enterprise AI deployments, including identity and access management, least-privilege controls, data classification, logging, monitoring, red teaming, human-in-the-loop controls, and responsible AI governance.
Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across architecture, engineering, development, data science, DevOps, AI, privacy, legal, compliance, and business teams to embed security throughout the solution lifecycle, review AI use cases, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory requirements before production deployment.
Select, implement, and automate enterprise security technologies and monitoring capabilities, including anomaly detection platforms, vulnerability scanning tools, and other solutions that strengthen and integrate security controls across the broader cybersecurity framework.
The essential requirements of the job include:
7+ years of progressive experience designing and securing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid enterprise architectures, with a strong understanding of secure system design principles.
Deep expertise in enterprise security technologies and practices, including cryptography, secure data storage, secure communications, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Demonstrated knowledge of AI and machine learning security, including risks associated with large language models (LLMs), generative AI applications, agentic AI systems, prompt flows, data pipelines, model integrations, and enterprise AI platforms.
Experience defining and implementing AI security guardrails and governance frameworks, including identity and access controls, least-privilege principles, data classification, logging, monitoring, red teaming, human-in-the-loop controls, secure agent orchestration, runtime monitoring, and responsible AI governance.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies to support security monitoring, control validation, automated enforcement, and operational efficiency.
Preferred skills and experience:
Experience implementing security for large-scale AI projects in cloud-native or hybrid environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with knowledge of AI governance, security posture management, data security posture management, ethical frameworks, and responsible AI principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or cloud security certifications are a plus.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel – Globally around 15% to 20% of the time, overnight.

The annual salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.#LI-Remote
