General purpose: Provide cultural, social, and practical resources for MICA students and Global Education Office staff.
Summary of Essential Functions:
Use graphic design skills to create digital and printed resources for students
Maintain social media accounts for Global Education
Assist Global Education staff in collecting and providing appropriate information to promote a global student experience at MICA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Create posters, flyers and other communication for events sponsored by International Education
Maintain social media accounts for Global Education
Create appropriate information and referrals for international students on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to banks, phones, campus resources, cultural questions, healthcare system, classroom communication, academic success, social interactions, study abroad, etc.
Collecting copy/print jobs at Postal & Print and posting event information
Assist with workshop organization
Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of: MICA campus resources, international student resources (specifically F1 students)
Skills: Interpersonal and intercultural skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe programs
Ability to: communicate effectively via email, handle tasks independently and collaboratively; manage time and work efficiently
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, as well as excellent and mature judgement
Minimum qualifications:
In good conduct and academic standing as a Sophomore or above at time of employment
Familiarity with international student resources (specifically F1 students)
Proficient in graphic design programs
