Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Product Control team to work with key managers with subject matter expertise to gain a broad understanding of State Street’s Portfolio and FX businesses including verifying the accuracy and integrity of the fair value of financial assets through the Independent Price Verification (IPV) process, month end and quarter end close for these products.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Assist with IPV validation and re-pricing of securities
Perform and prepare various back-testing and analytical reports
Assist in Product Control verifying market rates and closing prices, including off-market reporting
Utilize key analytical tools to conduct verification analysis (i.e. Bloomberg and Reuters)
Work with internal partners (middle office, front office, and CMA) and external vendors to investigate pricing variances
Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) coordination and testing
Assist in other projects as directed by manager
Monthly close activities for FX and Investment Portfolio
Qualifications and Skills required:
MBA/CA or Equivalent Accounting Degree with 3+ years of core experience in Valuation and IPV
IFRS and US GAAP related knowledge is preferred
Securities knowledge preferred
Bloomberg/ Reuter’s experience preferred
Strong analytical and excel skills required
Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop process maps
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Words)
Direct experience with Product Control/Market knowledge preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
High level of interpersonal skills and integrity
Ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple levels of management
Complex problem solving expertise
Deadline focused with ability to adapt under pressure
High degree of attention to detail and focus on error-free execution
