Overview
Our client is an MNC company and they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage local and regional office relocation projects. The successful candidate will oversee the full project lifecycle—from initial planning and vendor coordination through relocation, handover, and post-move support—while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of local and regional office relocation projects.
- Develop detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, and milestones.
- Coordinate relocation workstreams involving facilities, office fit-out, IT infrastructure, telecommunications, security, access control, furniture, logistics, and employee moves.
- Manage local and regional stakeholders, including business leaders, corporate functions, landlords, building management, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Oversee vendor selection, tendering, commercial negotiations, delivery schedules, and service quality.
- Conduct site assessments and readiness reviews before relocation.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, delays, and changes, escalating critical matters when necessary.
- Develop communication plans, contingency arrangements, and business continuity measures to minimise operational disruption.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover documentation, defect resolution, and post-relocation support.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, building requirements, health and safety standards, and applicable local regulations.
- Maintain complete project documentation and conduct post-project review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a multinational or matrix organisation.
- Proven experience in leading and managing both local and regional office relocation projects.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional teams, multiple stakeholders, vendors, budgets, schedules, and project risks.
- Good understanding of office relocation requirements across facilities, workplace, IT infrastructure, security, logistics, and change management.
- Excellent planning, organisation, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong project governance, documentation, reporting, and presentation capabilities.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Willingness to support relocation or cutover activities outside normal business hours when required.
