Summary:

Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Maintains proficiency with advanced post-processing inclusive of TAVR exams.Serves as a clinical resource aiding in the overall education of the department.Serves as a preceptor to new hires and/or students (2 students and/or new hires semi-annually).Prioritizes clinical assignments and workflow to maintain efficient and safe patient care.Performs unassisted trauma/stroke protocols inclusive of post-processing and procedures performed at Comprehensive Stroke Centers and Trauma Centers.Provides peer feedback for performance evaluations.Participates in Departmental Committees including protocol and policy development. CT Dose committee assistance mandatory.Performs charge responsibilities for assigned shift, as needed.

Additional Job Information:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No previous CT experience required.One year of radiology technologist experience is preferred. Other Information: Registered as a Technologist (RT) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as required by state law. Registered in computed tomography (CT) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 1 year of hire date.Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
