Description

At Franklin Templeton, we believe success is built through powerful partnerships. As a forward thinking asset manager, we build dynamic relationships with clients, understand their goals, and navigate complex markets together. We leverage cutting edge strategies and deep insights to unlock opportunities for long term wealth creation. Our talented, global teams bring expertise that is both broad and unique.

From our welcoming, inclusive, and supportive culture to our globally diverse business, we offer opportunities not only to help you reach your potential, but also to contribute to our clients’ success.

Thank you for your interest in the 2027 Futures Program! Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. If you are selected for an interview, we will contact you directly.

Applicants for employment in the US must have ongoing work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require employer sponsorship for a visa or other employment authorization.

The Futures Program is a full-time, two-year rotational development program for high potential individuals starting their professional careers and interested in Investment Management. At Franklin Templeton, you will join a global organization that values diverse perspectives, collaboration, and continuous learning, while gaining meaningful work, professional development, mentorship, and exposure to key areas of the business. Whether you are a recent college graduate or will graduate in June 2027, this is an opportunity to begin your career in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Within the Futures Program, this role is aligned to Investment Management and designed for individuals interested in financial markets, research, and analysis. Associates build experience through project-based and analytical assignments while gaining exposure to different teams and business perspectives. Development is supported through on-the-job experience, training, networking opportunities, and mentorship from a Franklin Templeton leader, helping associates build a strong foundation in investment management and related business functions.

How it Works:

  • The program consists of four six-month rotations designed to build professional skills through meaningful contributions to team goals.

  • The first rotation provides foundational exposure to Franklin Templeton’s products and clients.

  • Associates build a broader understanding of the firm before moving into rotations more closely aligned to their strategic focus area.

Futures Associates will join our San Mateo, CA, and New York, NY offices in Fall of 2027.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree by June 2027 in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.

  • Internship or relevant experience in Investment Management.

Technical Skills

  • Comfortable using data and digital tools to support analysis and decision-making.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly.

Soft Skills

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy and quality.

  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets, investing, or the broader financial services industry.

An ideal Futures Associate is intellectually curious, collaborative, analytical, and ready to “think big, ask big.” Successful candidates bring strong communication skills and a growth mindset, with the motivation to solve complex problems, communicate ideas clearly, and contribute thoughtfully in a collaborative environment.

Join Franklin Templeton to build foundational experience, develop your skills, expand your network, and gain the business insight needed to launch your career in asset management!
