About Rad Hires

Rad Hires connects high-performing talent with ambitious teams that move fast and build things that matter. We partner with lean, client-driven organizations to find people who own outcomes, raise the bar, and make a real difference — not just fill a seat.

About the Company

Our client is a product design and branding studio working across brand, product, and digital projects for clients around the world, with studios spread across several international markets.

About the Role

Our client is working with a new end-client to build a user portal linked to a new Shopify website experience. The engagement covers two workstreams: a user portal sitting behind login authentication, and an admin portal acting as a lightweight CMS for user management. You'll work alongside a backend developer (who owns the API build and deployment) and a separate developer handling the Shopify build in parallel. The team is working to an MVP mindset, and you'll have the chance to review and approve final designs before development starts to validate scope. There's potential for further work in a phase 2 build for the right person.

What You'll Do

User Portal (13 days)

- Build the frontend components of a 12-week brain health program, including a weekly participant questionnaire

- Implement progress visualisation via graphs that update weekly on questionnaire completion

- Build logic for new programme content unlocking weekly alongside brain health tools

- Implement authentication, onboarding, and protected routes

- Build the weekly questionnaires and programme content screens

- Handle loading, validation, empty, and error states

- Integrate the frontend with the Core API per agreed API contracts

- Add automated tests for critical participant journeys

Admin Portal (2 days)

- Re-purpose components from the user portal workstream to support limited operational user management (e.g. blocking/unblocking accounts)

- Reuse relevant user portal components for viewing participant information

- Note: editorial content management is handled separately via Payload CMS — this is not in scope

QA, Client UAT & Deployment (3 days, over an elapsed 1 week)

- Work with the internal QA team and external client team to resolve issues flagged via ClickUp

- Respond to client UAT feedback through the same process

- Assist with hosting and deployment to a live AWS environment (deployment ownership sits with the backend developer)
