Pay: $26.00/hour + $0.50/hour Shift Differential

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Line Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our production lines operate safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. You will lead line setup and changeover activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, support preventative maintenance efforts, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety and quality will help deliver products that delight consumers every day.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

Production & Operational Excellence

  • Lead line setup and product changeovers, identifying critical controls and potential issues.
  • Provide daily production run sheets to packaging machine operators.
  • Update production systems and case count boards to communicate production performance and goals across shifts.
  • Maintain raw material inventory and communicate discrepancies as needed.
  • Set up and operate multiple packaging machines.
  • Keep production lines running efficiently by clearing jams and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and make minor machine adjustments.
  • Support packaging machinery operations by troubleshooting coding, dating, and pricing issues.
  • Monitor product weights and appearance to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Read and interpret machine performance data.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Submit and assist with maintenance work orders.
  • Perform or assist with Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Identify equipment issues and communicate concerns promptly.
  • Obtain and maintain Lockout/Tagout certification.

Leadership & Team Support

  • Serve as a lead resource on the production line and provide guidance to team members.
  • Assist supervisors and Packaging Coordinators with training new employees and machine operators.
  • Support completion of daily line KPI documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with Quality Assurance regarding product holds, changeovers, and related activities.

Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead by example in maintaining compliance with GMPs, PPE requirements, food safety, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Verify team compliance with company policies and operating procedures.
  • Conduct metal detector checks, where applicable.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, aisles, and exits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S methodologies.
  • Follow safe lifting and material handling practices.
  • Report equipment concerns, hazards, and workplace injuries immediately.
  • Perform sanitation activities, including equipment teardown, cleaning, reassembly, seasoner cleanings, and wipe-outs as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support overtime requirements as business needs dictate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance, industrial, automotive, agricultural, or similar mechanical environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and make minor machine adjustments.
  • Ability to lead and support team activities on a production line.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with production systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, percentages, and fractions.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to obtain Lockout/Tagout certification.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

  • One (1) year of manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience operating packaging or processing equipment.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance activities.
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with continuous improvement programs such as 5S.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality systems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting machine performance data.
  • Exposure to troubleshooting coding, dating, pricing, or automated packaging systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and moving equipment.
  • Subject to indoor facility and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, heat, and cold.
  • Requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
